As your State’s Attorney, my job is to keep our communities safe, hold people accountable for violating the law, protect the rights of victims, represent the citizens of Madison County in court, as well as represent county government and county officials in legal matters.

Partner with and support local, state and federal law enforcement to leverage the power of modern technology, innovative crime prevention tools, and decades of experience to pursue the strongest criminal cases possible under the law.

Uphold the Illinois Crime Victim’s Bill of Rights by providing crime victims and their families with the tools and resources they need to navigate the criminal justice system and recover from the trauma crime creates in their lives.

Educate the public on the criminal justice system, the nature of crime in Madison County, and the efficient use of tax resources to create safe communities through data, transparency, and access.

Reduce crime and recidivism in non-violent, low-level offenders by leveraging innovative criminal justice solutions with existing social services organizations.
